Services offered
What do you need a writer for? Perhaps the brief is simple and your requirements match one of these needs:
Event Copy
Press releases
Marketing materials
Features
Interviews
Speeches
Grantwriting
Annual reports
Ghostwriting
Editing
In-house profiles
More often though, the brief is some combination of the above. A forthcoming event needs a additional marketing and PR support; a personnel change has disrupted a planned in-house document; a crisis needs a clear line of communication and the ability to respond on the run is key
I ask clients questions and where necessary, help them work out questions they should be asking themselves. I help establish clear briefs and work to them, promptly and efficiently.
How I work
My experience is unique. My years in sports writing have honed my ability to write accurately and emotively at speed, where it is necessary to file on the whistle, or to update as events unfold. But my years as a critical thinker within the art world have also taught me the importance of understanding and communicating complex ideas for both specialist and lay audiences. I consider work from any professional sector and adapt quickly to new environments.
My experience working with multiple outlets means I am comfortable working with custom user interfaces, and often multiple style guides at once. Beyond the technical aspects of my work, above all, I am sensitive to context and audience.
Whatever your project, from creative copy to technical manuals; speechwriting to ghostwriting; corporate strategy documents to shopping lists — I can help.
